In relocating Cityscapes 2022 Chelsea Flower Show Garden to its permanent rehoming site we have now created a pocket park for people to pause, slow down and come together. Once a disused and inaccessible space we have now created an open, intimate, and diverse place for people and nature in one of the busiest parts of London.
A vibrant space.
Once a walled off area within a transitory route between London Bridge Station and the Thames, the overshadowed and grey space is now open, free flowing and exploding with vibrant colours injecting a sense of fun and intrigue. This vibrancy brings excitement, humour, and optimism as an attractive place to inhabit instead of passing by in transit.
A natural space.
Framed by the vibrancy of the colours within the walls, paving, structure and raised planters is the balancing calm of the richly biodiverse naturalistic planting. A lush green sense enclosure to provide a calming space for humans and nature to relax year-round in the heart of the city.
